The "Hushan Cup" 2024 Chongqing Kaizhou Hanfeng Lake Marathon started shooting on the 20th at Hanfeng Lake in Kaizhou District, Chongqing. Over ten thousand runners set off from the largest inland lake in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, Hanfeng Lake, and ran along the track in the cool autumn season, enjoying the fun of sports in the beautiful scenery of lakes and mountains.

This event is divided into three categories: a full marathon (42.195 kilometers) with 3000 participants, a half marathon (21.0975 kilometers) with 3000 participants, and a happy run (5.5 kilometers) with 4000 participants.

In terms of the race route, the marathon race track is set along the Hanfeng Lake in Kaizhou District, Chongqing, and is a scenic track full of "Kaizhou characteristics" around the lake. Hanfeng Lake Scenic Area is a national 4A level tourist attraction and the largest inland lake in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, with a water area of 15 square kilometers. It is a shining pearl embedded in the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir Area.

The starting and ending points of this all horse and half horse race are both set at the intersection of Hubin East Road and Shuanghui Street, while the Happy Race endpoint is set at the Kaizhou Museum. The area along the track includes many well-known landmarks such as natural scenery and cultural history in Kai State. Running enthusiasts can enjoy natural scenery such as Xunsheng Bridge, Binhu Park, Hanfeng Lake National Wetland Park, and appreciate the profound historical and cultural heritage of Juzi Garden, Comrade Liu Bocheng Memorial Hall, and Kaizhou Museum while running. Through sports, they can experience the beautiful picture of "lakes in the city, cities in the mountains, and people in the mountains and waters".

After intense competition, Chinese athletes Xu Ru'an and Pan Yuanchen respectively won the men's and women's marathon championships. Two athletes from Kenya won the men's and women's half marathon championships respectively.

At the same time as the marathon event, Kaifeng also offers a "cultural, sports, business, and tourism feast" for runners and citizens. It is reported that the 9th Chongqing Cultural Tourism Consumer Season (Kaizhou branch venue) and the 2024 "Kaizhou Hanfeng Lake · New Resort" Golden Autumn Season series of activities will also start locally. The series of activities will last from October 20 to November 4.
