National University Canoe Championships

Background of the event: The National University Canoeing Championships is one of the highest level kayaking events in China, aimed at showcasing the competitive level and youthful style of university kayakers.

Event: The 7th National University Canoeing Championships will be held from October 24th to 25th, 2024 at Hanfeng Lake National Wetland Park in Kaizhou District, Chongqing. The competition attracted 177 outstanding athletes from 28 well-known universities across the country, including Sun Yat sen University and Zhejiang University.

Event events: including single kayak, double kayak, and 200 meter paddle board races at 200 meters, 500 meters, and 3000 meters.

Impact of the event: This competition is the first national college kayaking championship held in Chongqing, which not only enhances the popularity and influence of Kaizhou District, but also promotes the development of the local sports tourism industry.
