1、 Basic Information

Location: East of Hanfeng Lake, Wenfeng Peninsula, Kaizhou District, Chongqing.

Land area: approximately 127 acres.

Building area: approximately 15800 square meters.

Opening hours: Open year-round, Monday to Sunday 08:30-21:00.

2、 Historical evolution

Kaizhou Juzi Garden was grandly opened to the public on February 8, 2016 (the first day of the lunar new year) after more than two years of careful construction, becoming an important place for citizens to enjoy cultural education.

On September 28, 2016, Kaizhou Juzi Garden was grandly opened (officially), carrying the cultural landmark of 1800 years of Hanfeng cultural heritage and the "hometown of Juzi" wise and enlightened urban spirit, making a magnificent appearance, attracting domestic and foreign tourists for sightseeing and vacation, and driving the growth of Kaizhou's tourism economy.

3、 Main attractions

Wenfeng Tower: It consists of the site of Wenfeng Tower and the newly built Wenfeng Tower. The newly built Wenfeng Tower has nine floors in total, and is in a plane octagonal shape. The arch of wooden architecture cornices are exquisitely shaped, with a total height of 72.678 meters. Among them, the pagoda temple is 12.688 meters high, and is made of forged copper and gilded gold. There are 323 levels of tower ladders paved with bluestone in the tower. You can climb the tower top to have a bird's eye view of the lakes and mountains of the Garden New City.

Confucian Temple: It houses a statue of Confucius and is a symbol of Confucian culture.

Kaizhou Examination Institute: simulates the ancient imperial examination venue, allowing tourists to experience the hard work of ancient students firsthand.

Shengshan Academy: showcases the history of educational development in Kaizhou and provides visitors with a place to learn about the imperial examination system.

Landscape: The garden is filled with scenery everywhere, with more than 10 pavilions, water pavilions, and 4 landscape bridges cleverly arranged among them. Various uniquely shaped landscape stones are embellished among them, and carefully planted green plants are arranged in a staggered manner. The exquisite and unique details and workmanship are admirable.

4、 Cultural Value

Kaizhou Juzi Garden is the first cultural landscape park in China to systematically showcase imperial examination culture and Confucian culture, fully showcasing the essence of Chinese imperial examination culture and the humanistic charm of the "hometown of Juzi".

The rich historical and cultural connotations and beautiful garden scenery in the park make it a new highlight of tourism culture in the Three Gorges region, as well as one of the iconic landscapes of "Cultural Kaizhou". It is also the most distinctive garden scenery in the southwest area.

During important holidays such as the Mid Autumn Festival and National Day holiday, Kaizhou Juzi Garden will hold various cultural activities, such as the "Juzi Grand Stage" series of events, including Mid Autumn Festival themed evening parties, National Day cultural performances, Juzi Le Man Garden tourism performances, and Hanfu fashion shows, allowing tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery while also experiencing rich cultural activities.
