Walking through the colorful mountains and serene lakes,

Converse with the universe amidst the morning mist and evening glow,

Immerse yourself in the warm daily life of a small town.

So,

It's time to come to Kaizhou.

"In the lake lies a city, and within the city lies autumn."

I think if the "autumn atmosphere" described by poets had a specific destination, perhaps it would be Kaizhou.

This is a city moored between mountains and rivers, and time, with mountains tinged with golden hues, lakes reflecting the shadows of clouds, and streets and alleys like veins, connecting the old stories of Bayu and the poems of autumn.

Smoke rises from the stove, warmth fills the bowl, and taste buds are met again and again.

Leave a hint of glutinousness and freshness on the tip of the tongue, along with a bit more lingering warmth from the memories.

Upon arriving in Kaizhou, I wandered deep into the old streets, seeking the comforting autumn flavors that soothe my stomach.

Taste a piece of freshly cooked mixed steamed dish, where the plumpness of pork belly is wrapped in glutinous rice, and the softness and salty fragrance mingle in your mouth.

There are also sweet and fragrant osmanthus rice wine, caramelized grilled fish, hot and spicy spiced beef jerky, crispy shredded radish cake... Each dish is unforgettable.

Some say, "The autumn flavor of Kaizhou is so delicious that you can't stop eating it, one bite after another."

Here, experiencing a full range of flavors, from sour to sweet, salty to spicy, in a single day is nothing more than an ordinary autumn day.

The next morning, I strolled through the Juzi Garden in Kaizhou. The autumn wind brushed against the eaves, and the sound of pages turning was like the gentle whispers of fallen leaves, sweeping past the silent pavilions and my heart.

In Kaizhou, you may not necessarily encounter an old friend around the corner, but you can definitely find a story there.

"The autumn scenery in mountainous cities is beautiful, and Kaizhou is the best."

From Wenfeng Tower, to the twelve scenic spots of Shengshan, to the plank road beside Hanfeng Lake, to the reflection of the wind and rain corridor bridge...

Kaizhou is a city nurtured by mountains, rivers, and cultural heritage, a masterpiece woven together by nature and humanity.

Here, every ten steps present a new scenery, and every five steps reveal a new painting. Mountains, rivers, and pavilions have accompanied each other through the years. Through those mottled shadows and autumn winds, we can understand the serenity and vibrancy of Kaizhou.

As the traveler said, "Only in Kaizhou's autumn can one gaze upon the mountains and rivers with one eye, and read the passage of time with the other."

And at this colorful forest by the lake, I can see my own autumn scenery when I look up at the next corner.

With the lake as a mirror, and the mountains as a screen.

An autumn rain gently falls in the twilight. By the lakeside, the first lights are coming on, and every ripple and wave forms a beautiful scene.

In the evening, seated in a teahouse by the Hanfeng Lake, sipping a cup of green tea and enjoying a plate of tea snacks, the distant mountains appear as dark as ink, while the nearby water seems to be shrouded in mist. Occasionally, a white egret flashes across the water, breaking the golden silence, as if time slows down here, with only the autumn wind and heartbeat in sync.

Sailing on a small boat, drifting in the middle of the lake, watching the lights on the shore gradually come on, we not only see the people and houses in the scenery, but also hear the past stories under the water.

Only the autumn ambiance of that moment is most easily dispersed by the wind and hardest to be replicated by time.

The warmth felt during travel cannot be fully preserved through words, images, or sounds. It cannot be carried or stored for long, and is generously given only in the present moment.

Therefore, if you want to capture the autumn scents that are most easily lost during your journey and replenish your soul's perception of the distant places, the best way is to immerse yourself personally.
